Project Overview
Background
In Okinawa Prefecture, there are issues such as a shortage of doctors in areas with poor transportation such as remote islands and remote areas, ensuring access to medical care in areas where it is difficult to go to the hospital, restricting the use of emergency outpatient services by patients with a low risk of developing severe symptoms in areas crowded with tourists, ensuring access to medical care in evacuation centers in the event of an emergency, and rapid medical cooperation in nursing care facilities. In order to improve "medical care and welfare" with limited social resources, more than 30 companies and organizations have come together to seek solutions to these issues through medical MaaS, digital cooperation, and a common digital platform, aiming for "a society where everyone can be connected to health, medical care, and welfare in their daily lives without barriers and live a cultural life tailored to the region," and have launched the “Project Committee of Constructing Community Renovation Model of Health, Medicine and Welfare in Okinawa to realize Society 5.0 for Okinawa.” and have been considering model projects.
Objective
1. Resolving issues for medical institutions and emergency transport
In order to protect the limited medical resources in the region and ensure that critically ill patients with high urgency can be properly treated and transported, we will operate the "Mobile clinic" train as a convenient medical service to reduce nighttime emergency outpatient visits at convenience stores (visits in non-emergency situations) and non-emergency emergency calls, ensure an appropriate medical care system, and create an environment where patients with high urgency can be treated quickly in the emergency outpatient department.
②Realizing a safe and secure tourism-based prefecture and creating high added value
People who should not use emergency outpatient services end up visiting the emergency outpatient service because they are worried about having a fever or feeling unwell, or because it is nighttime and they want to be treated as soon as possible. By operating the "Mobile clinic" as a service that can be used when people feel unwell at night, we provide an option other than the emergency outpatient service and address the concerns of tourists.
In this demonstration project, in order to solve the premise of the problem that this project aims to solve, we will utilize a multi-tasking vehicle that can be used for various purposes to demonstrate medical services as an option other than visiting an emergency outpatient clinic in a resort area. In addition to providing medical and consultation services in the vehicle, we will verify the effectiveness of the initiative by linking it with the delivery of prescription medicines.
What is the Mobile clinic?
A multipurpose car that assists health guidance,
medical examinations, medication teaching and local activities. Our car loaded with medical equipment will head to your hotel with one of our nurses responding
to your request. With the assistance of our nurse,
we provide online telemedical care from a doctor.
Vital checks and procedures can also be performed
by the nurse under the doctor's direction.

If you become ill during your trip, the Mobile clinic will visit you directly at your accommodation and provide medical services.
We will work with local medical institutions to respond swiftly so that tourists can continue their stay in safety.

Our project started with the cooperation of medical and welfare staff, under the purpose of providing high quality and easy access medical care for the purpose of better emergency room utilizations.
Medical consultation at your hotel
On-site nurse and an online visit to a doctor.
Our nurse will visit you with Mobile Clinic, loaded with required
equipment and conduct physical examinations under the instructions of a doctor.
Nurse assistance/Fully equipped gear
One of our nurses will conduct physical examinations and first aid procedures under the instructions of a doctor. We provide examinations such as EKGs, oxygen levels, blood pressure and more
by our trained medical staff.
Medication prescription
If the examination reveals that you need medication, you will be prescribed the necessary medication as instructed by your doctor.
Delivery will be made within 2 hours from the pharmacy.
